General Meeting: Heidi Thaut, Owner of Sugar Plum Quilts in Bend, OR

Join us in September for Heidi Thauts' Program called "Through the Eye of the Needle: A no-tech historical glimpse at key stitching and quilting influences from the 1600s to 1900s". 

Using seven quilted panels she designed to reflect each interesting historical fact, Heidi will take you on a brief journey of four centuries of stitching history ending with influences on the rise and fall of quilting popularity throughout the last two centuries. 

Heidi repairs and refurbishes antique quilts as part of her quilting business in Bend, Oregon, Sugarplum Quilts. She has become obsessed with researching quilt and stitching history over the past three years, grasping every textbook she can get her hands on including rare books from overseas. She is constantly learning and looks forward to sharing bits and pieces of her discoveries with you. 

This will be an In Person meeting AND on Zoom! Join us at 9:00am for social time, then the meeting which begins at 9:30am.  Wear a Name Tag!!

Members will receive the Zoom link by email for this meeting, which you can watch at the usual time if you are unable to join us in person, but we'll miss you!  

The general meeting will be recorded for future viewing by members on our YouTube page.
